Ms Manisha Gupta WINS yet another Award, after having been a WINNER at an International Film Festival in LOS ANGELES (Sept.) and the 6th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival (Apr.), for her Debut Screenplay “FALL” In SPRING….??, at the 5th Delhi Shorts International Film Festival, 2016 on November 6. Ms Manisha’s Short Film “HAPPINESS IS…” has Won an Award at the 2nd Dehradun International Film Festival, 2016. This Film has been an Official Selection at many International Film Festivals in India & Abroad.

Artist & Designer

A self-taught artist, she is basically an abstract artist delving in oils on canvas. Has also been innovating on traditional Indian themes and using fusion of ideas, materials, technology & techniques to create unique pieces of art. Debut Abstract (oil on canvas) titled “The Drama That Is Nature” (Code: MG-02) was bought by a German international art collector for exhibitions in Munich & Holland. This was during one of the exhibitions at an annual group show at  “The Dhoomimal Art gallery”-one of the oldest reputed & premier art galleries of India- in NewDelhi, where she has taken part in 3 annual art exhibitions.

She specializes in the art of Silk Hand Painting using international techniques & materials. Though this art form is not yet much known in India, she has been pursuing this for the past seven years. She is also a designer of fashion accessories.

You can see some of her oil paintings displayed in the “Paintings” section. These include basically Abstract Paintings. Though she does other types of paintings also.

She even uses the palette knife in a number of paintings. There are some that are knife paintings.
